Gabon has invested in particular in the construction of a high-speed fiber optic network since 2012, the digitization of the administration, support for the digital transformation of businesses (notably through the creation of the Gabon Digital Incubation Company – SING, in 2018, in partnership with the World Bank), and in supporting young startup creators, who are increasingly numerous. The constraints linked to Covid-19, particularly those of social distancing, have also highlighted the need for an adaptable education system. The Ministry of Education states that the plan to digitize primary education will subsequently extend to secondary and higher education.
